PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Unipak flax/hemp is a pure, natural hemp fibre product made of fine, long-fibre flax/hemp, which comes from the stem of the flax plant. 3-stranded coarse flax/hemp is made of short-fibre flax and is deliverable un-tarred and tarred.
APPLICATION:
Unipack flax/hemp is in combination with jointing compounds very suitable for the sealing of threaded joints. This combination ensures tight, flexible assembly joints. Flax/hemp is extremely economic to use. 3-stranded flax is applied for the sealing of glazed pipes or cast-iron pipes.
TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
Unipak withstands tempratures up to 130ºC but at higher temperatures there is a risk of scorching the flax fibres.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Flax/hemp should be applied evenly and tightly to the thread in the direction of inclination of the thread.Then the entire packed thread should be applied an adequate quantity of jointing compound in a even layer, after which assembling can be carried out straight away and installations be put into service.
